Jimmy Choo was born in Malaysia to a family of shoe-makers. He perfected his craft when he attended technical school part of the London School of design and in 1986 opened his own workshop. His shoes became famous after being featured in Vogue and being worn by Princess Di. He founded his company with Tamara Mellon who now runs the Jimmy Choo ready-to-wear line and expanded to accessories.
