Donna Karan grew up in a family involved in fashion; with a tailor father, model mother and a stepfather in the business, it was inevitable that she would follow suit. She launched her first collection and show in high school. After attending the Parsons School of Design she worked for Anne Klein and later became head of design in the mid 70’s. After years with Anne Klein, Donna Karan launched her own collection in 1985, and has evolved to the collection we know today.
